Before Vision Therapy, life was quite difficult.  I had trouble in school and especially with sports.  In school I had trouble reading.  For instance, I would skip small words such as: I, as, is, am, the . . .  Also, it was very hard to comprehend what I was reading because I had to concentrated so much to figure out each word, let alone what a sentence meant.  My penmanship was very bad, and I had trouble lining up the numbers in math problems.  Copying from the board to my paper was also difficult.  In sports, I had trouble hitting and catching baseballs, as well as hitting the basketball rim. Now, after Vision Therapy, I don’t skip words and I understand what I read much better.  I can copy from one line to another and from the board to my paper much easier.  In math, the problems are easier, because the columns are lined up better and I can understand word problems much better.  I don’t throw a fit anymore and try to stall when doing word problems.  My penmanship is better and the words are spaced much more consistently.  I can now hit and catch baseballs much easier now, and I made many baskets last basketball season.
